UFC Champion Cain Velasquez Arrested, Charged with Attempted Murder Celeb Secrets
The past few days have certainly not been ideal for former UFC champion Cain Velasquez, who was arrested last night on attempted murder charges.
The 39-year-old athlete was taken into custody late last night in Morgan Hill, California, near the San Francisco Bay Area. Police say he was involved in a shooting which occurred at the intersection of Bailey Avenue and Monterey Highway, in the center of the small town.
During the shooting, which occurred on Monday at approximately 3:14 p.m. PST, one man was shot and later taken to the hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries. Cain was arrested and booked, and is being held without bail at the Santa Clara County Department of Corrections.

Cain, while not officially retired, has notably not fought in the UFC in over three years. The last time he did so was on February 17, 2019, when he was knocked out in 26 seconds by legendary fighter Francis Ngannou. Since then, he has tried out for professional wrestling in Mexico and the United States, with the WWE, but to no avail.
As of this point, police have not revealed the motive behind the shooting, but updates will continue to be provided as the case progresses. Cain has a court date for Wednesday, March 2, at 12 p.m. PST.
