Garal enjoys skiing trips to glamorous locations such as Courchevel, France, with Asensio. "All over the world if there are mountains and snow, there will be people skiing," say the experts at the University of New Hampshire. "So not only do you have a great group of people having a fantastic time; you've got a motivational team that encourages you to get off the couch in the winter and get your heart pumping all day!"
Garal loves swimming in the ocean (usually after diving off a luxury yacht!). "Swimming is one of the few activities that works your whole body," says the British Heart Foundation. "Breaststroke, backstroke, front crawl, butterfly and even doggy paddle get your legs and arms moving. This in turn works your back and core muscles."
Garal loves fresh fruit for a snack, especially grapes. Grapes have many health benefits, including lowering cholesterol. "It also gives us nutrients that feed our gut bacteria, making the microbiome a much better community of good bacteria while promoting gut health," says Zhaoping Li, MD, PhD, chief of the division of clinical nutrition at UCLA Health. One glance at Garal's social media shows she is a friend to all animals. "There are so many varieties to enjoy in a wide variety of dishes, and we can also use them in many ways to supplement our diet and help keep us well."
