Danisnotonfire's Top 10 Videos of 2015
The year of 2015 was quite a good year for YouTubers, and Dan Howell (A.K.A. danisnotonfire) is no exception. With almost six million subscribers, his channel has been overwhelmingly successful. Danisnotonfire being a more comedic channel, he tends to get a lot of views as well as laughs. We decided to look back and see his top ten videos of 2015.
10. “7 SECOND CHALLENGE with Jennifer Lawrence Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth”
Dan (danisnotonfire) was lucky enough to be able to interview the stars of Mockingjay Part Two, and play the game he created with his best friend Phil (A.K.A. AmazingPhil) with them. Surprisingly, the stars had some difficulty with the game (even though the questions were regarding the movie they starred in, however seven seconds is a short amount of time to answer). The amusing interview and game-playing got 2,383,338 views along with 248,906 likes and 468 dislikes.
9. “Internet Support Group 5”
Being the nice and helpful guy Dan is, he asked viewers to provide him with their problems and he would give them advice in his video. Or, as Dan kiddingly says,”deals with strangers problems to avoid having to confront his own.” Dan published this video onto his channel on May 7th, 2015 and got 166,230 likes and 426 dislikes with 2,494,975 views.
8. “Internet Support Group 6”
Wow, Dan’s advice videos are very popular. Three of the videos from that series made it on this list! As usual, Dan asked viewers to ask him for advice and he provided the advice in the video. Viewers emailed him their questions and Dan answered. This video was published on September 2nd, 2015 and received 194,993 likes and 626 dislikes with 2,501,068 views.
7.”Audience Participation Fear”
In this video, Dan comedically explains his extreme fear of audience participation by acting out some scenarios and telling some funny stories. 2,566,629 viewed this video, while 177,452 liked it and 327 people disliked it since Dan published the amusing video on April 8th, 2015. Dan, if you’re reading this, you are definitely not alone with that fear.
6. “Internet Support Group 4”
In this video, Dan asked people to email him and ask for advice, and then he would give them advice in the video. He has done several other videos of this, and apparently a lot of people need advice on something. 2,659,203 viewed this video of Danisnotonfire and left 182,060 likes and 401 dislikes since Dan published the video on February 1st, 2015. Hopefully Dan will do another one of these soon, he gives out some pretty good advice.
5. “The Internet Is Mean”
Apparently a lot of people agree that the internet is mean, because this video has 2,831,314 views! In this video, dan explains how terrible the internet can be, and has an “intervention” to all anonymous bullies on the internet and provides a completely relatable and rational speech about it. This reassuring video received 205,914 likes and 628 dislikes since danisnotonfire published it on February 20,2015. Thank you Dan, for this comforting video about the internet and it’s bullies.
4. “How To Speak Lad- With Dan and Connor!”
One of Dan’s popular collaborations is with Connor Franta, also a famous YouTuber. This collaboration gained 3,094,138 views in the time it was published on June 5th, 2015. It gained 216,200 likes and 863 dislikes. If you’ve ever thought “You know what? I want to learn how to speak lad,” then this is the video for you. Or maybe if you just wanted to know some “british slang.” Or if you want to see a funny video that will make you smile the whole time. Connor Franta is quite the learner, and Dan is quite the teacher, looks like Connor will be fluent in lad soon!
3. “DAN AND PHIL BLINDFOLDED MAKEUP CHALLENGE”
3,644,409 people viewed this video of Dan and his best friend Phil (AmazingPhil) putting makeup on each other- blindfolded. Guys are typically not good at makeup in general, but if you add a blindfold to the mix, something bad is bound to happen. However, Dan and Phil laugh through the whole thing, and so does the viewer. This blindfolded makeup challenge got 204,322 likes and 618 dislikes since it was uploaded on Mar 12, 2015.
2. “Dan and Tyler play NEVER HAVE I EVER!”
This video, featuring Tyler Oakley, has managed to gain quite a few views since it was published on August 17th, 2015, and by a few, we mean 4,268,683 views! Out of those views, it got 289,321 likes and 842 dislikes. Dan and Tyler videos are always a hit, and we can see why. Their personalities work so well together and make for an entertaining collaboration. In this collab, they play a game called “Never have I ever” and some parts were pretty surprising.
1. “Dan Reacts to His Old Videos”
This hilarious throwback video is Dan’s most viewed video of the year with a whopping 4,671,271 views total, with 250,459 likes and 739 dislikes. Dan uploaded this video on January 12, 2015, so it’s been almost a full year since this video. Here he does basically what the title says, he views his first videos and reacts to them. Let’s just say he has come a long way since 2006 when he first joined YouTube.
