Brantley Gilbert is an American country rock singer, songwriter, and record producer.

Brantley is the son of Rebecca and Keith Gilbert. He is married to schoolteacher Amber Cochran, with whom he has two children. He is a practising Christian.

Brantley’s paternal grandfather was Frank Clay Gilbert (the son of Farris C. Gilbert and Annie S. Smallwood). Farris was the son of Frank Orgain Gilbert and Genelia Blackstock. Annie was the daughter of William Smallwood and Matia Wilson.

Brantley’s paternal grandmother was Joyce Duke (the daughter of David Hillar Duke, Jr. and Grace Evelyn Shields). David was the son of David Hillier Duke and Lollie Mae Lyle.
