Actress Shailene Woodley and Quarterback Aaron Rodgers are Dating! Celeb Secrets
News broke Wednesday that Big Little Lies actress, 29, Shailene Woodley, and Greenbay Packers quarterback, 37, Aaron Rodgers are reportedly dating.
Sources confirmed to E! News and People that Rodgers and Woodley have been maintaining a happy, long-distance relationship for the past couple of months. One source told E! that the couple has “kept things private and low key” and other sources shared with People that while the pair do seem very happy, the relationship is “casual.”
Rodgers has been in Wisconsin finishing of the season with the Packers and Woodley has been on-set in Montreal filming for her new crime movie, Misanthrope.
Woodley’s last relationship was with rugby player Ben Volavola, who she reportedly met while filming for the 2018 film Adrift (also starring actor Sam Claflin) and confirmed the relationship on her Instagram in January 2018. They would date for a few years before Woodley confirmed their split to the New York Times in April 2020.
Rodgers previously dated former racecar driver Danica Patrick. They spent two years together from January 2018 up until Patrick’s rep confirmed the couple split in July of last year. The pair even spent most of the beginning of quarantine together.
Now here’s where things get a little spicy. You might be thinking that you’ve read about Woodley and Rodgers before today and you’d be right. There were rumors circling around about the two around the time Rodgers and Patrick split back in July.
Though never confirmed, sports gossip site Terez Owens, reported that Rodgers and Woodley were introduced by Patrick shortly before the quarterback and racecar driver split, making people believe that Rodgers left Patrick to be with Woodley.
Nevertheless, it seems that all parties are happier and have moved on quite well.
Back in September, Rodgers sat down with the Pat McAfee Show and shared that he’s made changes and decisions that have helped bring his life together the past couple of months.
He also shared “that’s why I’m having so much fun and it starts with love. And then surrounding yourself with people that you really enjoy.”
That same month, Patrick went on The Rachel Hollis Show and talked about what she expects from her next relationship.
“The next guy has his work cut out for him because my intuition, my standards, my boundaries, my wants, and needs are off the charts,” Patrick said. “Cause I’ve gotten to know me so much more.”
With the Packers losing out from the Super Bowl a couple of weeks ago, we’re just glad to hear that Aaron has some loving support to mend any wounds.
